I got my first camera when I was 12. For a shy kid it was a way of connecting to people and the world. It was about seeing things in a different way. And having a camera as a child- it was my form of play and curiosity. 

While much of that still holds true with age comes growth. As I have learned more about photography I have learned more about its potential impact on people and the world around me. This has turned what was a simple snapshot into a story or expression. An opportunity shine a light on hidden gems- literally and figuratively. 

I initially chose photography because it just felt good. It felt good to create and come to find out later in life, photography is essentially an exercise in mindfulness. Today I choose photography not only to continue that opportunity to create- but to share that light with other people. Photography has had a great impact on my life and the opportunity to share that light with others is more than I could ask for. 

Today the photography business expands beyond the studio. The photograph is more than just a snapshot. This service is an opportunity to let someone know they matter and not just a customer. The light I shape in a photograph becomes an opportunity to individualize the experience for clients and share the light of life. 

Yes I love photography. I love what it has given me and I love sharing it with others. Outside of photography I am a wife, mom of 2 kids and 2 fur babies. I love a campfire on the beach, a sunset in the canyons and a quiet evening with a good meal at home.
